Prenatal and Postnatal Fitness

The Region’s best fitness classes for pregnant and new mom’s where Mom’s make friends and build their tribe. Our classes have been developed and tailored to the pregnant woman and the news mother’s body.

We believe that knowledge is power. In each class we will cover topics such as common pregnancy concerns and comfort measures, relationship changes, breastfeeding, balancing family, and more.

Socialization is so very important during this time of a woman’s life and research has shown that being able to share pregnancy and parenthood experiences with peers helps to reduce the feelings of uncertainty and anxiety that often accompany this period of change.

Labour & Postpartum Doula

Doula comes from an ancient greek word meaning “a women who serves”. The roll of a doula whether it be birth or postpartum is to offer informational, physical and emotional support to a women and her family during the transition into parenthood. As a doula I help to facilitate a positive labour and peaceful postpartum period by bridging the gap and empowering women to be an active participant in their conception, pregnancy, birth and postpartum period.

Breastfeeding Support

We believe that the decision to breastfeed is not about lifestyle, but about the total physical and emotional health of the mother and baby, both in the short term and the long term.  We strive to provide the information and support which mothers and families may need as they make decisions about nurturing their infants and children.  Through our individual consultations and group programs, events and training, we deliver experienced methods as well as the latest developments in breastfeeding and post natal care.

Food & Environmental Sensitivity Testing

Eliminating a sensitivity is crucial to allowing the body time to heal and become stronger. Many people spend a lot of time trying to figure out what food is bothering them. We make the process quicker by testing several foods, environmental, hormones and amino acids to help you find answers, to get the results you need.

Mindfulness

Mindfulness means maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment. Mindfulness also involves acceptance, meaning that we pay attention to our thoughts and feelings without judging them—without believing, for instance, that there’s a “right” or “wrong” way to think or feel in a given moment. When we practice mindfulness, our thoughts tune into what we’re sensing in the present moment rather than rehashing the past or imagining the future.
